WLIV’s founder, Ghassan Ashkar, has over 25 years of experience serving a rich cross section of clients across MENA, Europe, Asia and North America (based in NYC) in over 25 different industries ranging from banking and financial services to retail, mining, entertainment, transportation, logistics and e-commerce. Clients served included some of the world’s largest private equity funds, sovereign wealth funds, startups, large corporates and family businesses as well as not for profit organizations and governmental entities.
From the standpoint of functional expertise, Ghassan combines an audit background and in-depth mergers and acquisitions experience with hands on experience as a c-suite executive (CFO) for multi-billion dollar businesses and start-ups in the Middle East. As a result, the skill set he brings to the table encompasses strategic planning & advisory, mergers & acquisitions, corporate finance, corporate restructuring and transformation, board level advisory, shared services and governance and controls.
